Dear Parents,

Thank you for choosing me as your child’s instructor for Swimming Lessons. Whatever their level, prepare to be amazed as you see the true learning capacity of your child. Remember you have an active role to play in the success of the lessons.

I want to be sure I have answered your questions and concerns before we start - If you are "at ease" during the lessons - your child is more likely to be so too! If you have any additional concerns don’t hesitate to ask pool side or call me later.

Lesson Times

I teach every weekday Monday to Thursday – weather permitting – in my own pool. Lesson times are allocated on a first come basis. Time slots can become available at any time. I maintain a schedule board at the side of the pool for all to see. Please ask if you would like to change to a vacant time slot.

Please call if you need to cancel or are in doubt because of the weather. If I do not answer – I am most likely in the pool and lessons are on. Please arrive a few minutes in advance of your scheduled swim time so your child will be ready at his time.

Student General Registration

All students must complete a onetime registration form $45.00
Registration may include an “evaluation lesson”

All Students must complete a medical release on an annual basis, if the medical situation changes and before starting a new program $0.00
A doctors note may be required as part of the release

Self Rescue Skills (One on One Lessons)

Weekly charge – Four lessons (Monday – Thursday) Friday makeup day $60.00

Payable on a weekly basis.

Lessons missed due to bad weather and illness are not charged. I reserve the right to charge for lessons missed for other reasons

All students must have completed self rescue skills before joining a group class.

Group Lessons

Group lessons are scheduled twice a week for four weeks.

8 Lessons 30-45 minutes per lesson = 1 course.

Any lessons missed due to bad weather may be assigned a group makeup date.
No individual make up days or refunds made for lessons missed.

Course rate $110.00

Special Financial Circumstances.

It is my policy that no child be denied lessons based on financial need. If you have observed lessons and decided this is the right program for your child but are experiencing financial hardship please contact me. I will work with any family to ensure all children who need lessons will get them. This may include offering a payment plan, reducing the overall cost or a combination of both.

Supplies to Bring

1. A motivated “fit to swim” Infant - Remember – No Food for at least 1hr before the lesson
2. Towels
3. Swim diaper - I recommend the elasticated reusable type.

Amenities Available

I like to maintain a casual, child friendly environment for lessons – most students enjoy a few minutes of playtime with other children before and after their lesson. This certainly can help their attitude to lessons overall! Our yard is quite large with plenty of place for children to play while under direct individual parent supervision. Use of all play equipment is at your own risk. (Please note that the trampoline is not available for student use)

In bad weather please take shelter in the Florida room.

Restroom

The restroom is accessed through the French doors in the Florida room. Go through the kitchen and follow the hall to the end.

Please take all soiled diapers home with you. It makes for a safer environment for all.

General
Feel free to video the lessons and take pictures for your private use. Additional members of your family are also welcome to come and watch – please make sure they understand the program and bring a positive attitude! All children must remain under adult supervision at all times.

You are welcome to stay behind to observe other student lessons too.
